Go from raw images to professional deliverables — orthomosaic, DSM/DTM, point clouds, and contour maps — in 5 intensive hands-on days. For civil engineers, surveyors, GIS professionals, and ambitious new pilots.
A structured 5-day programme — real flights, real GCPs, real processing, real outputs
This course is designed for those who want to produce real survey deliverables — not just fly drones
Seeking to add drone-based data collection to their practice. Replace traditional survey methods with faster, more cost-effective aerial data.
Looking to process aerial data from their own flights. Take full ownership of the data pipeline — from mission to final GIS deliverable.
Who want to move beyond recreational flying into revenue-generating survey work. Survey is one of the highest-paying drone verticals in India.
Building drone data services for agriculture, infrastructure, or real estate. Learn the full workflow before hiring or scaling your team.
One enrolment covers the complete 5-day experience
Fly on DJI Phantom 4 RTK and DJI Mavic 3E — the industry standard for centimetre-accurate survey missions.
Full access to Pix4D Mapper for the course duration so you can work on your own projects during and after training.
Learn a second industry-standard photogrammetry platform — expanding your capability and client compatibility.
Hands-on practice with real GCP targets and an RTK receiver during training — the equipment used by professional survey teams.
Processing laptops with GPU workstations are provided — no need to bring your own hardware for photogrammetry processing sessions.
Maximum 6 students per batch. Every student gets individual attention and targeted feedback throughout all 5 days.
Receive the DroneAcad Aerial Survey & Mapping Completion Certificate at the end of Day 5.
Take home a sample aerial dataset so you can continue practising Pix4D and Agisoft processing independently after the course.

Everything you need to know before enrolling
No licence is required to attend. DroneAcad provides all equipment and a licensed pilot supervises all outdoor flights. However, we recommend combining this course with the DGCA RPTO programme if you plan to operate commercially.
Pix4D Mapper and Agisoft Metashape. Both are industry-standard photogrammetry platforms used by survey firms, government agencies, and engineering consultants worldwide.
With proper GCPs and an RTK-capable drone, horizontal accuracy of 2–5 cm and vertical accuracy of 3–8 cm is achievable. Without GCPs, absolute accuracy drops to 1–3 metres, depending on GNSS quality.
Yes. Infrastructure growth under PMGSY, Smart Cities Mission, and state highway projects is driving significant demand for drone survey data. Salaries range from ₹4–12 LPA for employed roles; project-based freelancers earn ₹500–1,500 per acre.
Yes. Aerial Survey & Mapping is Module 5 of the Diploma. Completing this standalone course gives you advanced standing and credit if you join the Diploma programme.
